confused-300x200How do you find the best lawyer for your case? Finding the best lawyer to represent you in your case can be a difficult task. But, here are some tips to make your search easier.

Everyone wants to find the ‘best’ attorney for their case.

Hurt on the job? Everyone wants to find the best workers compensation attorney when they are hurt on the job.

Hurt in a car or truck accident ? Everyone wants to find the best personal injury lawyer when they or a loved one has been seriously injured, as a result of someone else’s negligence, injured in an auto accidemt, car accident, highway accident, interstate accident, truck accident, or motorcycle accident.

Victim of Medical Negligence? Everyone wants to find the best medical malpractice attorney when they are or become the victim of medical malpractice, medical negligence, wrongful death, or a birthing injury,

But how do you do that?

Finding the best lawyer to represent you in your case can be a difficult task. You want the best lawyer you can get, but how do you know how to choose?

The best way to find a lawyer to represent you is by asking your friends and relatives if they know a lawyer to recommend. But make sure that any lawyer they recommend is experienced in the type of legal matter in which you are involved. For example, the best divorce lawyer most likely is not the best choice for a personal injury or workers’ compensation case. Similarly the best workers’ compensation lawyer may not be the attorney you should choose to represent you in a foreclosure action. Once you have a referral to a lawyer, contact that attorney and get a free case consultation right away.

You are entitled to interview your potential lawyer. Ask the lawyer if he/she is a Board Certified Specialist (In Ohio, there are specific Board Certifications, but NOT all areas of law are included in a Board Certification Specialty. You can contact the Ohio State Bar Association Law Specialty Board for details) or if he/she limits their legal practice to the specific area of law regarding your case.

You should interview several lawyers before you decide who will protect your legal interests. The inital consultation should be free. If it isn’t, look elsewhere.
